Turgutreis Boat trips and yacht charters

Turgutreis cosmopolitan marina hosts several yacht charter companies including the UK based bareboat company Sunsail. This is the perfect starting point for a bareboat sailing holiday exploring the Bodrum Peninsula and beyond.

Daily gulet trips to the surrounding islands and bays, and trips to the Greek Island of Kos and Kalimnos can be arranged here.

Dogus Turgutreis Marina

The marina was opened in 2003 and is well worth the visit. Even if you are not interested in boats or yachts there are plenty of things to do; a great range of shops, bars, restaurants and a lovely pool filled with fish to feed.

Turgutreis Scuba Diving

Prior to 2001 the area was closed to scuba diving due to the unknown quantity of amphora and treasures that littered the sea bed. Turgutreis is now home to many scuba diving companies allowing divers of all levels the opportunity to benefit from the crystal clear waters and see the rich array of aquatic life.

Turgutreis Nightlife

Turgutreis has many bars providing a lively nightlife. The popular Boom cafe which is situated in the Marina is a real hit, as are the several other bars entertaining with live music on the edge of the resort. While the best night clubs can be found in Bodrum there Turgutreis also has two night clubs.

Turgutreis Shopping

The best place for shopping is in the centre of Bodrum however Turgutreis has plenty of shops providing holiday essentials as well as gifts and souvenirs. Saturdays is market day, the town fills up with villagers bringing either clothes for sale or fresh local produce that are a feast for the eyes and taste buds!

Turgutreis Restaurants and Cafe's

There is a great range of restaurants and cafe's, from fast food (McDonalds), cafe's serving English breakfasts to brilliant fish restaurants and traditional Turkish food. For a romantic meal, there is a great range on the waterfront where you can watch the sunsets. The best restaurants are the fish restaurants situated behind Migros. Here you can choose your fish from the fishmongers which is then cooked by your restaurant. These restaurants offer the freshest fish and best value for money on the Bodrum peninsular.

Horse Riding

The valleys and hills surrounding Turgutreis offer beautiful natural surroundings for horse riding and pony trekking. One of the best places in Bodrum is the Turgutreis Countryranch which has 27 well looked after horses. The horse riding at the ranch is suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced riders; pony trekking for kids and Horse Safari tours for adults (3 routes)

Turgutreis Buses (Dolmus)

Regular buses connect the town with nearby villages, hotels, and villa's. The Domuses run till about 5am in high season and out of season this varies. The Dolmus station is situated behind the Migros supermarket in the centre.
